Devanandham Henry was a Scientist / Engineer at the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), Ministry of Defence, Government of India [1997-2006] before joining Stevens as a PhD student in late Fall 2006. While at ADA, he has worked on aerodynamics, aircraft performance, design optimization, and project management of the Indian Light Combat Aircraft, particularly its Naval version. He was involved in setting up the Special Interest Group on Systems Engineering under the auspices of the Centre for Aerospace Systems Design & Engineering at IIT-Bombay through which many events and lectures on Systems Engineering were conducted. Devanandham Henry was also involved with the Aeronautical Society of India and co-organized an aircraft design competetion and an all India schools outrach programme as part of the  Wright brothers' first flight centennial celebrations.
