Award and Accolades

  • Systems Engineering Research Center - Stevens has been awarded the nations only DoD University Affiliated Research Center to focus on System Engineering research. (Awarded in 2008, Stevens serves as the lead University in the SERC, with USC serving as its principal collaborator, in coordination with 17 other collaborator schools throughout the United States.)
  • Excellence in Leadership of Engineering Management Undergraduate Education - National Award in recognition of Stevens' exemplary leadership in Engineering Management Undergraduate Education (Winner 2003 and 2001) (First Runner-Up 2006 and 2005)
  • ASEM Student Chapter Founders Award - National Award in recognition of Stevens' student chapter of the American Society for Engineering Management (2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2001)
  • Bernard Sarchet Award (2004, 2002, 1998) - Highest faculty award from the American Society for Engineering Management

  • INCOSE Best Paper Awards (2009) - SSE faculty and students won 3 out of 4 Best Paper Awards at the 2009 International Council on Systems Engineering Annual Conference.
  • Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Sixth Annual Design Competition for Universities -  A team from Stevens Institute of Technology has been selected as a first-place winner for the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) sixth annual Design Competition for Universities. Stevens was one of four universities to receive top honors out of 207 submissions.
