Stevens students build their success early through hands-on internship experience. Large corporations, small start-ups, non-profit organizations and government agencies all work with the Stevens Career Center to secure top internship talent from Stevens. Internships have proven to lead to high potential full time employment outcomes. Many Stevens students have as many as three summer internships prior to graduating.
Steps to participate in the internship program:
- Attend a Career Prep Workshop – Find out when the next workshop is by visiting the Career Center Events Calendar.
- Create a CastlePointCareers (CPC) account – CPC is our internal job board where companies post internship opportunities for Stevens students. To learn more about CPC, access our step-by-step guide: Getting Started with CPC.
- Upload your resume, which has been reviewed by a career advisor.
- Begin using CPC – After 5 business days, your CPC account will automatically be activated if steps 1-3 have been completed.
Each student is assigned a dedicated professional staff member as a Career Advisor. Advisors act as a resource from the first year at Stevens to securing an outcome. Students should engage their Advisor early as they explore various career paths, prepare to market themselves in the internship search and prepare for making connections with industry representatives.
Obtaining an Internship
Employers post internship opportunities, attend Stevens Career Fairs and conduct interviews on campus to recruit interns. All students are invited to attend the December and March Career Fairs to interact directly with employers from various sectors hiring interns. CastlePointCareers is the best resource to access internship postings posted specifically for Stevens students and opportunities to interview on campus. For additional information on companies currently hiring interns, be sure to check CPC on a regular basis since it is updated daily with new opportunities to connect with employers hiring interns.
