The Management program is ideal for less-experienced students interested in earning a graduate degree in one year.

The master's degree in Management is designed for students with minimal work experience — from those who've just earned undergraduate degrees to those with less than two years' experience — and bachelor's degrees in non-business disciplines. Coursework demonstrates, through hands-on, applied learning, how engineering expertise fits into the organizational picture, and prepares professionals to confidently lead people and projects across the enterprise — without having to spend years getting caught up on these techniques in night classes.

Experience optional

Courses in the Management program provide a broad overview of business and management skills, making them ideal for students who have limited exposure to business and leadership concepts.

To be considered, students must include the following with their applications:

  • Two letters of recommendation.
  • Official transcript from each academic institution attended.
  • Official conferment of your bachelor’s degree.
  • An up-to-date résumé.
  • Competitive GMAT or GRE score (international students only).
  • Competitive TOEFL score (international students only).

Candidates with more experience are invited to consider the MBA program, which is suitable for students with at least two years’ experience.

Location advantage

Stevens’ proximity to industry of all kinds — finance, media, accounting, technology and so on — in New York creates endless opportunity for companies to meet our students through guest lectures, seminars, class projects, special events and networking sessions. In addition to the many professional contacts the School of Business maintains, Stevens has long histories with some of the top companies in the engineering, technology and sciences industries — many of which are a 10-minute train ride from campus.

The online experience

The Management degree can be earned without ever setting foot on campus, thanks to Stevens' robust web platform. And our fully immersive online experience means students can participate in live lectures and work collaboratively on group projects, whether they're in the classroom or around the world.

The need for speed

The Management degree is all about getting students the skills they need as quickly and efficiently as possible. At 30 credits, the program can be completed in just one year, allowing graduates to quickly enter the workplace or pursue higher-level jobs.

Getting the job

Many students in the Management program have just earned a bachelor's degree, and are hoping to secure a higher-level position upon graduation. That's where Stevens' nationally recognized Career Development Office comes in. Here, students improve their résumé writing and interview skills, and get connected to a wide network of recruiters in every kind of industry, in the Manhattan area and beyond.
