Gain valuable engineering design skills and specialization in optical engineering or naval engineering in the engineering program at Stevens.
Stevens Institute of Technology has a long legacy of engineering education. A broad-based general engineering program was the only program offered when Stevens was founded in 1871 and in 1934, it became one of the first engineering programs accredited in the United States. Today, the general engineering bachelor's degree program is known as the engineering program and offers students the opportunity to study engineering with two options of concentration.
Students may choose to study naval engineering in the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Ocean engineering, or they may choose to study optical engineering in the Department of Physics.
The Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET.
