The accelerated chemical biology program gives exceptionally qualified students the opportunity to earn the B.S. degree at Stevens and the M.D. degree at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in a total of seven years—a saving of one year in time and expense.
Students admitted into the accelerated program take a heavy course load during the first three years of the program at Stevens, and enter the medical school at the start of the fourth year. Transfer credit for courses taken in the first year of study at the medical school are used to complete the requirements of the B.S. degree.
