The four-course graduate certificate in Structural Analysis and Design enables students to apply state-of-the-art tools and design principles for the development of highly complex structural and machine systems.  Students who successfully complete the certificate will be prepared to take on leading roles in a wide spectrum of organizations that are engaged in advanced product development.  This program offers a unique combination of intense collaboration, small class sizes, and professional networking opportunities. * The ME 663 class has two prerequisites: ME 641 Engineering Analysis and ME 658 Advanced Mechanics of Solids.


  • The four courses should be taken in the order listed above.

  • A four-year degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, two letters of recommendation, and competitive GRE scores are required for admission.

  • Competitive TOEFL/IELTS scores (for international students whose native language is not English) is required.
