The Mary Jane and Frank J. Semcer, Sr. '65 Center for Healthcare Innovation (CHI) is the home for faculty, industry partners, healthcare practitioners, entrepreneurs and students to pursue cutting-edge research and translation of innovative technology into clinical practice.

We strive towards regional, national, and international recognition for healthcare innovation in our five core specialties:

  • Multifunctional Multiscale Biomaterials and Biofabrication

  • Molecular, Cellular and Tissue Technologies

  • Biomechanics and Rehabilitation Engineering

  • Biomedical Sensing and Imaging

  • Drug Discovery, Development, and Delivery (4D)

Using an interdisciplinary approach to collaboration across the departments of all four Stevens schools and beyond, CHI helps distinguish Stevens in healthcare-related research.
