COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement
(effective April 21, 2022)
All students whose program of study requires them to be on-campus, and all full-time and part-time employees including but not limited to faculty, full-time staff, adjuncts, and part-time staff must be vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine series and the first booster dose. At this time, additional booster doses are encouraged as they are available but are not required.
A student is eligible for the booster dose 5 months after the second dose of the initial vaccination series (or 2 months after the first dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine). Students are considered fully vaccinated until they become eligible for the booster dose. New students who will not be eligible for a booster dose prior to their arrival on campus should submit documentation of their initial vaccination series and update the documentation with Student Health Services once they become eligible for and receive a booster dose.
Accepted COVID-19 Vaccinations
Stevens accepts vaccines that have been authorized or granted emergency use authorization (EUA) by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (“FDA”) or World Health Organization (“WHO”). Please continue to monitor these lists as vaccination approvals may change.
Students who are registered for programs that are fully online and will not come to campus are not covered by the vaccination requirement. Limited exemptions from the COVID-19 vaccine requirement will be considered for medical and religious reasons. See the FAQs for more information on this requirement.
Submission of Vaccination Documentation
New students to Stevens must submit documentation of vaccination on the required Health and Immunization Form to Student Health Services at least 30 days prior to arrival on-campus or by August 1, 2022. Continuing students have already submitted documentation and may contact Student Health Services with any questions.
Employees must submit documentation of vaccination through Workday by following these instructions. Limited exemptions will be considered. Any prior exemptions must be renewed before the start of each semester.
No one will be asked to provide, and no one should provide, any medical or genetic information with their proof of vaccination. Stevens will keep individuals’ vaccination information confidential. Stevens will not share information about vaccination status with anyone except those who need to know for purposes of administration of this requirement and contact tracing.
