Overview
The maritime transportation system (MTS) is a complex business ecosystem, consisting of ports, vessels, terminal operators, intermodal connectors, and global supply chains. This system relies on information and operational technology (IT/OT) to facilitate the safe, secure, and efficient transport of passengers and cargo. Cyber vulnerabilities and attacks on maritime IT/OT systems can have adverse and far-reaching effects on business operations, resulting in lost revenue, supply chain disruptions, and the exposure of sensitive company data.
