Winter Mason, Howe School Assistant Professor to Speak

Mason Speaking at Symposium and University in Indonesia in June

Prof. Mason has been invited to participate as a Session Speaker for the Third Indonesian-American Kavli Frontiers of Science symposium, June 24-27, 2013. The symposium is sponsored by the Indonesian Academy of Sciences, the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and the U.S. Department of State.

This symposium series is the premiere activity within the U.S. Academy for distinguished young scientists. Attendees are selected by a committee of Academy members from among young researchers who have already made recognized contributions to science, including recipients of major fellowships and awards.

While Mason is in Indonesia he has also been invited to speak to the Psychology Department at the University of Indonesia in Jakarta.

Kavli Frontiers of Science Jointly sponsored by the US National Academy of Sciences and The Kavli Foundation, the Kavli Frontiers of Science bring together some of the very best young scientists to discuss exciting advances and opportunities in their fields in a format that encourages informal collective, as well as one-on-one discussions among participants. These are highly interdisciplinary symposia emphasizing communication of a wide range of contemporary science topics across the traditional disciplines.
