Stevens VP Maureen Weatherall Retires

Dr. Maureen Weatherall has announced her retirement as Vice President of University Enrollment and Administration, effective at the end of this year.

Dr. Weatherall has served as Vice President of University Enrollment and Administration at Stevens since 2001, overseeing departments responsible for enrollment, retention, student affairs, athletics, residence life, dining services, human resources and special functions. She has held a series of increasingly responsible positions, starting at Stevens as Director of Admissions in 1990, Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid in 1992, Vice President of Enrollment Management in 1995, and Vice President of Enrollment, Student Affairs, and Information Technology in 1998.

Dr. Weatherall led the growth of Stevens’ WebCampus, Stevens’ online program, selected by the Sloan Foundation as the Best Online University. She also played a key role in launching the first international program for Stevens in Beijing, China. Under Dr. Weatherall’s leadership, Stevens has increased enrollment and net revenue while improving selectivity and the academic quality of our students. Dr. Weatherall has also been a champion of the role of athletics as a vital part of the Stevens community, leading to Stevens being named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC)/Jostens Institution of the Year for excellence in athletics and academics.

Dr. Weatherall received her B.E. in Chemical Engineering and M.S. in Management Science from Stevens in 1978 and later earned her doctorate in Higher Education Management at the University of Pennsylvania. She received the Alumni Achievement Award for Outstanding Service to the Institute and to its alumni association in 1988.
