Stevens Team presented with award at FAA Headquarters on July 18

The first place team from Stevens Institute received their award from the FAA and presented their work at the ACC/FAA/TSA Summer Series Workshop at the FAA Headquarters Washington, DC, July 18 - 19, 2012.  The award was presented by FAA Vice-President for Safety, Joseph Teixeira with other high ranking FAA officials in attendance.

The Department of Engineering Management at the School of Systems and Enterprises captured first place for its design titled ,“Green Gates Locally Powered Gate Electrification System.” Professor Eirik Hole advised the student team.

Promising designs may also receive FAA funding to take their concepts to the next stage of development.
