As the educational offerings within the School of Systems and Enterprises (SSE) grow, and the course modalities become more diverse, a change to the SSE organization and leadership team has recently been announced. The position held by Dr. Michael Pennotti, Associate Dean of Academics, is being redefined and the role will now be focused on academic program and faculty development. Therefore, responsibility for academic program delivery and execution is being further refined. To do so, a new leadership position within SSE has been developed and as such, Shobi Sivadasan has been named Director, Graduate Academic Operations. In her new role, Shobi will oversee SSE graduate program execution and all delivery methods, including on-campus, regional, online, module, and mixed.
Shobi's new organization will also include the Student and Faculty Care Center, supported by Maygan Bearden, Manager of the Center. Over the next few months, Shobi will be working with the rest of SSE leadership to rationalize the support processes within SSE.
Shobi’s new appointment will allow Dr. Pennotti to focus on exploring inter-program synergies and development of new multi-disciplinary programs, developing of new academic programs at the undergraduate level, and bringing greater focus on program assessments.
