Reunion Event Puts Spotlight on Big Data

A reunion of alumni from the Howe School’s Technology Management for Experienced Professionals master’s program (MSTM) brought dozens of graduates back to the Stevens campus for a reception at the Babbio Center in late June.

The MSTM program (formerly EMTM) welcomed its first class to Stevens in 1993, with its first graduates earning their degrees in 1995, according to Howe School Professor Murrae Bowden, director of the MBA program at Stevens.

Among the events at the reunion included a networking reception in the atrium of the Babbio Center, offering spectacular views of midtown Manhattan and the Hudson River, and a presentation on Big Data and the research strides being made in this area by Howe School faculty. Dr. David Belanger, a Howe School professor and nationally recognized expert for his work in Big Data as chief scientist of AT&T Labs.
