Quantitative Finance and Financial Engineering Associate Professor Jonathan Kaufman, School of Systems & Enterprises & Howe School of Technology Management at Stevens Institute of Technology, delivered a lecture to Senior Executives of the Peoples Bank of China on Monday, June 3, 2013 at Georgetown University. Peoples Bank of China is the Central Bank of China. The talk was entitled "A Perfect Storm – Lessons Learned from the US Financial Crisis of 2007-2008." As the Title suggests, the lecture covered the myriad fragilities in the US and global financial systems that contributed to the near economic depression triggered by the decline of real estate in the US. Later this month, he will also lecture at another Georgetown sponsored event on Financial Innovation, at the Princeton Club in NYC. This talk will be about the design and marketing of new financial products.
