Mr. Leventis, is a Managing Principal of Langan Engineering & Environmental Solutions, a 650+ person land development engineering firm headquartered in New Jersey. He has overseen the company’s operations in New York City since the early 1990’s, while between 1998 and 2001 he served as Director General of the Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games, Athens 2004, overseeing all activities related to Olympic works and the environment.
As President of Langan International, Mr. Leventis leads the firm’s growing international practice with the opening of offices in the Middle East in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, UAE; Doha, Qatar; Athens, Greece; and Istanbul, Turkey. His recent landmark projects include NYU Langone, Hudson Yards, Moynihan Station Redevelopment, Lincoln Center Redevelopment, , United Nations Capital Program, Basrah Sports City, Abu Dhabi Hotel & Marina and King Abdullah Financial District, the tallest building in the world Kingdom Tower and the Greek Toll Motorways.
His awards include the 1993 Grand Award of the State of New Jersey for his work on the Liberty Science Center; the ACEC 1995 National Honor Award for his work on the New York Hospital expansion over the FDR Drive in Manhattan; and the ACEC 2005 National Grand Award, ASCE 2005 Outstanding Civil Engineers Achievement Award (OCEA/OPAL) and DFI 2007 Outstanding Project Award for his work on the Rion-Antirion Bridge, Greece.
