As we continue our mission to elevate the Howe School’s impact on our students, society, research and business, we’re off to a remarkable start. A Payscale survey recently ranked Stevens third in the nation (and first in the Northeast) for mid-career salaries of our graduates. The report demonstrates the university’s ability to prepare students for excellent careers, and reinforces our continued path to greater success.
Along the path, we’ve added four new undergraduate majors — finance, marketing, information systems and management — and are finalizing curricula changes that highlight one of the university’s greatest strengths — entrepreneurship. Next spring we’ll offer Howe business insights to more than 500 engineering students to create a new generation of engineers who can turn ideas into marketable products. At the graduate level, we offer a fully revamped 48-credit MBA program.
Additionally, we welcome six new faculty members who all demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and research accomplishments. And finally, we start the new year with a record number of new students: 719. It’s the biggest and most talented class in history, and includes a record number of entering students at Howe.
Welcome back and enjoy what’s ahead!
