Mr. Zimmerman brings tremendous industry experience to the Board in areas such as information and communications, mobility, e-business and entrepreneurship. He was most recently global managing director, Mobility Services for Accenture.
Before that position he held a roster of high level management positions including Global Managing Director, Accenture's Communications Industry segment and the managing director, North American communications client group. Prior to Accenture he was CEO, Predictive Systems, a network and security consulting and information services company in New York City and before that he was the Chief Operating Officer, idealab! Additionally, he has served in global positions for PricewaterhouseCoopers including global leader of the firm’s E-Business Consulting practice and global industry leader of its Information and Communications practice.
In 1986, he co-founded Reach Networks and was hailed in a Tom Peters article that Peters later described as “one of the most important stories we have ever run.” Zimmerman received a B.A. from Haverford College in three years and subsequently received a Thomas J. Watson post-graduate Fellowship, during which he travelled and studied with circuses in Western Europe and the Soviet Union. He received an M.S. from New York University and is a certified public accountant.
