Virtual Lecture: SDN and NFV: The New Network Architecture

Dr. Kevin Ryan

The world and networks

A host of changing requirements to support new and emerging networking services has created two closely related approaches — software-defined networks and network function virtualization — that are major business drivers for the telecommunications industry. This talk will examine the architecture for both approaches and their specific abilities to meet changing network requirements.

Presenter: Dr. Kevin Ryan

Dr. Ryan is the director of the Network & Communication Management & Services master’s program at Stevens. He has significant research, product development and teaching experience from his career in AT&T Bell Labs/Lucent Technologies.
