The fall Sustainability Seminar Series continues on November 7 with the virtual talk "From Disclosure of ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) Metrics to Sustainability Performance: Building the Virtuous Loop" by Cynthia Figge of CSRHub.
This talk will present new insights between ESG (environment, social, governance) corporate disclosure and performance. Although disclosure is necessary, it is not sufficient for high performance ratings among leading ESG analysts.
CSRHub recently launched Bloomberg’s first ESG app offering two ways analyzing corporate sustainability performance and how they correlate. Bloomberg’s ESG disclosure scores indicate how much a company has reported about its sustainability performance. CSRHub’s metrics provide an aggregated third party sustainability experts’ assessment of company sustainability performance. Figge will discuss CSRHub’s findings on 10,000+ equities that have both metrics, representing more than 90 percent of world market capitalization. A sneak preview: disclosure is a first step to the virtuous loop of improved performance, but it’s only the beginning.
