The Viral Network 2.0: Ebola and Zika Responses

Presenter: Theresa MacPhail, Assistant Professor in Science and Technology Studies

Outbreaks of infectious diseases are about more than just science. To treat epidemics, we rely on institutions and structures put into place during the last outbreak, while dealing with the realities of political and economic constraints. In her Humanities Forum talk, MacPhail will analyze whether or not our global disease detection and response systems are getting better or worse with each outbreak.

Speaker: Theresa MacPhail, Assistant Professor of Science and Technology Studies
