Executive Director of the New Jersey Energy Coalition
What will the future of energy look like 25 years from now and how will sustainability play a role? New Jersey has undergone an energy sector transformation. This transformation includes aspects like; distributed energy resources, energy efficiency, solar, off shore wind, energy storage, infrastructure, bridge fuels, cyber security, and microgrids. When we think of energy, we all have to start thinking beyond what we see as an end user along with what it takes for the energy to reach the end point. The energy sector is the backbone of the economy and its sustainability is paramount. In the spring of 2018 New Jersey established some new goals and desires which make us all have to ask what the future of energy in New Jersey and America will be.
Erick Ford is the Executive Director of the New Jersey Energy Coalition. Erick worked in state government for over five years of which several were at the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU). There he served as a confidential aide to former President of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, Richard Mroz and Commissioner Dianne Solomon. Erick study Global Affairs at George Mason University. He is a native of the great state of New Jersey. Erick is also a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, a nonprofit organization.
