The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership. This talk focusses mainly on India’s contribution to the cause and its steps taken to accomplish the national objectives pertaining to each goal.

Mr. Neve is a Mechanical Engineer from VJTI, Mumbai (india). Post that, he joined Tata Electric Company (now Tata Power) and has been associated to it since the past 36 years. After having about a 25 year experience in the Operations and Maintenance of the thermal power plant, he was drafted into the Corporate circle looking at the management skills and early initiatives towards sustainability. He joined the Corporate Environment and Sustainability department and has been a senior member of the team managing all the domestic and international projects of the company. He is an avid reader, writer and a mountaineer since his engineering days. He is also the lead instructor for a children’s activity camps since last 30 odd years.
