Quantum Computing for Finance Workshop

An overview and discussion of what quantum computing is, the current state of the art, and what are the potential use cases for the finance industry. 

Elena Yndurain is a technology strategist specialized in launching emerging technologies into the market, linking R&D to business applicability. She has a wide experience in executive roles in technology corporations (IBM, Microsoft, Nokia), strategy consulting (Oliver Wyman, Ernst& Young, Cap Gemini), and development banking (IDB).  

Elena is currently focused on expanding quantum computing into the market. She is heading the international expansion of QunaSys, a Japanese quantum computing algorithm company, and launched IBM’s finance quantum computing business unit.  

Elena combines her industry work with professorship, research collaboration, and outreach activities. She regularly writes articles on technology for newspapers, and she teaches quantum computing for engineering and MBA master students. 

Elena has a STEM education background that mixed with Business, she holds a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering (UC3M), an executive MBA (IE Business School), Advanced Degrees on Innovation (Harvard University), Quantum Computing (MIT) and Artificial Intelligence (MIT) and a B.Sc. with double major in Math and Computer Science (University of Michigan).
