IT Expo 2018

Hosted by the Division of Information Technology

Please join your colleagues for IT Expo 2018. This informal event, sponsored by the Division of Information Technology, will feature the collaborative successes of several distinguished faculty, as well as recent innovations implemented at Stevens and emerging technologies being explored for use. Two areas of focus for this event will be technologies to enhance teaching and learning, and tools to support productivity and professional development. These will be featured in engaging and interactive ways.

Some IT Expo 2018 highlights include:

  • Active Learning – A spotlight presentation by Dr. Gregg Vesonder, School of Systems and Enterprises. Find out about the techniques and strategies for employing active learning now and throughout your career.
  • Improving Student Engagement and Critical Thinking through a Knowledge Building Model – A spotlight presentation by Dr. Woo Lee, School of Engineering and Science, and Dr. Wei Li, Division of Information Technology. Explore a systematic instructional design process using innovative strategies and emerging technologies to enhance student learning in a popular engineering course at Stevens.
  • Other presentations on topics such as: Office 365, cybersecurity, Workday Student,, VLE, Kaltura, Solstice wireless presenting, and more!
  • A wine and cheese reception will be ongoing during the expo. While sampling the refreshments, you can enter your name for an iPad giveaway, as well as participate in bonus giveaways throughout the event.

The Division of Information Technology is committed to reinforcing Technology at our Core through collaboration with staff and faculty. At this event, we will share technology that has already added value for many members of the Stevens community. We hope you’ll join us to learn more about the tools that are available to you.
