The Master Plan of our town has not been reviewed since 2008 and it does not have an Environmental Master Plan component. There are 4 applications being heard by our Zoning Board asking for waivers and variances that will greatly affect the Quality of Life of our town. It might be too late to affect any changes that will influence the decisions being made by our Board members, but it is not too late to start planning for Closter's future. I have been advocating for a Land Use Board Summit to be convened ASAP and after many attempts, there is talk that the Mayor and Council will schedule one in September. I feel that every town should be beginning the processes needed to create a current Master Plan with an Environmental Master Plan component.
