Green Roofs for Healthy Cities Workshop

CEOE Workshop

The Department of Civil, Environmental and Ocean Engineering is co-hosting a one-day workshop with Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC) at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey.

The workshop will be a day-long lunch and learn about green roof and green wall technologies, including current projects, national policies and case studies. It will also highlight Hoboken’s current efforts in green roofs and green wall technologies, including a tour of the new "Living Laboratory" run by associate professor Elizabeth Fassman-Beck in the North building.

The mission of GRHC is to develop and protect the market by increasing the awareness of the economic, social and environmental benefits of green roofs, green walls and other forms of living architecture, Green Roofs for Healthy Cities leverages events of various sizes across North America to advocate favorable policy support for green roof development. These events engage a wide variety of stakeholders and educate the general public on the many social, economic and environmental benefits of green roofs and walls.
