Experiential Education, an essential component of a Stevens education
The Stevens Career Center is dedicated to assisting students gain the professional experience necessary to secure employment related to their academic studies through experiential learning opportunities. Experiential learning is a distinguishing feature of the Stevens educational experience. Viewed as an essential component of a college education, all students are encouraged to participate in some form of experiential education.
The Career Center provides various programs to provide these important learning opportunities with large corporations, small start-ups, non-profit organizations and government agencies. These Career Center programs are listed below.

A summer internship is a short-term work experience over the summer that relates to the degree the student is pursuing or a student's career interests.
Co-op is a five-year program which provides students with the opportunity to alternate between semesters of full-time work and full-time study.
