Stevens NextGen Wi-Fi will use the latest Wi-Fi technology (Wi-Fi 6) to simplify the way users connect, reduce the number of SSIDs, and improve authentication methods. We recommend that users ensure that their devices are updated with the latest operating system from Apple, Windows, and Linux to ensure an optimal performance when connecting to Stevens Wi-Fi.
The project will be completed in a phased approach – for more information view each of the phases below
Phase 1 - Updating of SSIDs and Improved Security (Completed)
Wireless service will be provided through four new SSIDs across campus.
For step-by-step instructions on how to connect select your device below:
Faculty and staff who are using a Stevens managed computer should connect to the internet first before coming to campus for the new Wi-Fi profiles to automatically download. These profiles are needed to complete configuration for the new Stevens-Net Wi-Fi network. Afterward, when a faculty or staff member brings their Stevens managed computer on-campus, no additional action should be required to connect to the Stevens-Net Wi-Fi.
