Class reunion years – from 5 after graduation to 50 and more – are when many alumni recall fond memories of their time at Castle Point. Maybe they remember a challenging professor, an academic program that launched their career, or their favorite campus hangout.
During Alumni Weekend, alumni celebrating reunion years gather on campus to reminisce during dinners, boat cruises and other special events. Many alumni celebrating reunion years also find them an ideal time to give to Stevens. In fact, alumni from the Class of 1965 set a new Stevens record, raising over $10.7 million during their 50th reunion year for their class scholarship and other university funds.
Reunion years are important to Stevens because they inspire alumni participation, the percentage of alumni who give during the university’s fiscal year. Alumni participation is a key statistic that experts like US News & World Report consider for college rankings. Corporate and non-profit foundations also look at alumni participation when they decide to give grants. The more alumni who show confidence in Stevens by giving, the stronger the university looks.
Whether they’re giving to support class scholarships, athletics, academic departments or many other causes, alumni celebrating reunion years can give to Stevens in several ways, including:
- Outright Gifts
- Matching Gifts
- Planned Gifts
- Participatory Gifts to the Stevens Fund
