Dining Out in Hoboken
Stevens students enjoy walking-distance access to one of New Jersey's most diverse dining scenes. Duckbills (Stevens’ cash equivalent) are accepted at many of Hoboken’s most popular eateries, including food trucks!
Hoboken offers everything from artisanal coffee shops and upscale Latin, Italian and French cuisine to burgers, shakes, Thai, Chinese, Malaysian, Mexican, coal-fired pizza, falafel, and sub sandwiches.
In summer, Hoboken's PIER 13 (along the Hudson River, a few blocks north of campus) becomes one big outdoor food festival as food trucks line up along the pier and dispense ice cream, lobster rolls, Cajun fare, grilled cheese and more.
In fall, the annual Hoboken Italian Festival brings funnel cakes, cannoli, pasta, music and fireworks to town for four days, and winter means Hudson County Restaurant Week, offering a three-course taste of the city's best restaurants at specially discounted prices.
Feel like eating in the big city? Stevens is also just an eight-to-14 minute PATH train ride from Greenwich Village, Chelsea and Midtown Manhattan, with too many dining options — upscale and lowbrow alike — to list.
