It is our priority to ensure that you transition smoothly into life as a Stevens student. Below is information about orientation activities for each type of master’s student.
Orientation Sessions and Activities
Full-Time On-Campus Students
All new full-time on-campus master’s students are expected to attend New Master’s Student Orientation scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, 2020. Additional details regarding time and location will be provided closer to the date.
Part-Time On-Campus Students
New part-time on-campus master’s students are invited to attend an optional Evening Orientation & Reception scheduled for Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm with a networking reception to follow. Details regarding location will be provided closer to the date.
Part-time students are also asked to complete online orientation modules that will be made available through the Online Orientation Canvas course the first week of the semester.
Online students do not need to attend the on-campus program and have two orientation opportunities: Welcome Orientation hosted by the course instructor via their course website and the Online Orientation module provided by Webcampus.

During the week of August 31, there will be a number of additional workshops and activities for new master’s students. All Welcome Week activities are free and open to all new master’s students.
Visit Us in Person
Students who wish to contact Graduate Admissions, Graduate Academics & Student Success, or Graduate Student Life may do so by visiting in person on the 11th floor of the Wesley J. Howe Center during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.)

International and Out-of-State Students
International students should plan to arrive in the Hoboken, New Jersey area at least two days before to orientation to adjust to the time difference and recover from jet lag.
Stevens offers an airport pickup service as well as temporary housing options for new incoming graduate students who are traveling from outside of New Jersey or outside of the United States. Advance registration is required for these services.
International students must attend Mandatory Immigration Check-in with International Student & Scholar Services. All incoming international students should have received an email directly from International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) with information about registering for an immigration reporting sessions.
