This conference offers students at Stevens Institute of Technology the opportunity to present their research to the broader Stevens community. The goals of this conference are:
The talks are meant to be aimed at the lay audience, meaning that they should be approachable by educated persons who are not experts in the particular field of the speaker. In the current climate, it is more important than ever for scientists, engineers, and other researchers to be able to clearly communicate their work to the broader public, and this conference gives students the opportunity to practice these skills in a friendly environment.
What do you gain if you participate?
As a presenter you gain a stage to communicate your research with the broader Stevens community, practice communicating your research and the opportunity to network outside of your discipline with the chance to generate interdisciplinary research topics for pursuit.
Are there any opportunities for AWARDS?
YES!! There will be awards for the best paper and for the best poster.
You can present your paper at a national conference for the respective winners’ research field. The prize for both will include the following:
