On Sunday, October 18, 2020 the ceremony for Undergraduate Candidates receiving Bachelor's Degrees was held online at 2:00 p.m. EST.
The Virtual Ceremony
Stevens recreated the commencement experience online. The Faculty Marshal opened the ceremony, followed by speeches from the President, Provost, Commencement Speaker, and First in Class. The degrees were officially conferred by the Emeritus Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and the graduates were presented one by one. Finally, the ceremony ended with words of wisdom from the President of the Alumni Association, the official "tassle turn", and the singing of the Alma MAter. Presentation of Graduates
Graduates were presented by school, in alphabetical order. The College of Arts & Letters were presented first, then the School of Systems & Enterprises, the School of Business, and finally the Schaefer School of Engineering & Science. All names of the Class of 2020 were included in the Presentation of Graduates. Printed programs for each commencement ceremony, including a special section on the 150th Annivesary of Stevens Institute of Technology, have been mailed to all members of the Class of 2020. Also, there is an online Undergraduate Commencement Program that can be downloaded in PDF format.
First in Class
