Commencement Ceremonies will be held at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, New Jersey on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. There will be 2 ceremonies – the Undergraduate Ceremony for all bachelor’s degree candidates will be held at 11 a.m., and the Graduate Ceremony for Ph.D. and master’s degree candidates at 4 p.m. Each ceremony will last approximately 2.5 hours.
The doors open at the Expo Center 1 hour prior to each ceremony. Refreshments and flowers will be on sale before each ceremony, and the Stevens Bookstore will be selling Stevens memorabilia and gifts in the lobby. Balloons and outside food and drink are prohibited. Further information on the Meadowlands Expo Center can be found at mecexpo.com along with local hotels and restaurants.
Participants in each ceremony (graduating students) can order up to six (6) guest tickets. Every guest, no matter the age, must have a guest ticket to enter the venue. A certain portion of the ticket allotment can be used for ADA (or accessible) tickets, which will allow the guest to sit in a wheelchair and handicapped accessible area. Graduating students can order tickets online for their guests after Spring Break.
Live Video Stream of Ceremony
Stevens will stream the video of the ceremony live on this website on Wednesday, May 22, 2019.

Wheelchair and Handicapped Access

Stevens has contracted with Island Photography to take several color photos of each graduating student as his/her diploma is being presented. Approximately one month after the ceremony, the studio will email proofs and ordering information to each graduate to their Stevens email address that is on file with the Registrar’s Office. Please make sure your email address is correct, otherwise there will be a delay in getting your proofs.
If you have guests traveling from outside the U.S., and they require a letter of invitation, you may write an Invitation Letter. ISS Form Invitation Letter. More information can be found in our Step-by-Step Guide to inviting friends and family to visit you in the U.S.
