Even though we are unable to come together in person, music unites us in spirit and brings joy to many. DeBaun PAC plans to continue connecting to the Stevens community through the power of music with these virtual offerings.

Voice Seminars

While the Stevens Choir is currently on hiatus, Dr. Bethany Reeves will be offering weekly virtual voice seminars. No homework, just some enlightenment to help hone your singing. For more information and Zoom links, email Dr. Bethany Reeves.

  • Topics in Choral Music - A series of talks on topics of interest to choral singers, particularly history, repertoire, and styles. Mondays from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
  • Topics in Singing - A series of talks on topics in singing, particularly on the vocal instrument and singing techniques for various solo and ensemble genres (Broadway, pop, classical etc.) Thursdays from 7:00-8:30 p.m.

Virtual Orchestra

The Stevens Orchestra will collaborate at weekly virtual rehearsals, typically Friday evenings, as a group and in smaller sectionals, culminating in a virtual orchestra recording. Workshops around orchestra technique and specific technique for different instrument families will also be offered. Music will be chosen and distributed based on the composition of the fall group. For more information and to get involved, email Conductor Steven Rochen.

Virtual Band Experience

The Stevens Bands will focus on smaller virtual ensembles and weekly sectional virtual rehearsals to allow real-time collaboration, including guest musicians and masterclass-style presentations. The bands typically meet Wednesday evenings (Jazz Band) and Sunday evenings (Concert Band), but may expand as needed to accommodate schedules. For more information and to get involved, email Director Jerry Ficeto.
