Alexander Calder, Stevens Class of 1919, created the "mobile" and "stabile" forms of abstract art. These are well familiar today even to delighted infants in cribs with airborne mobiles above their heads. We all have a personal and technical connection to the artist and work on display. It's simply a great excuse to reconnect to some great past days and ties to Hoboken.
Please join the Stevens Southern California Alumni Club for a docent led tour of the Calder Exhibit on Sunday, June 22nd at 11:30 am. This tour will last approximately 45 minutes. Afterwards, we can go for lunch at Ray's, the courtyard restaurant adjacent to the Calder Exhibition venue within the museum. Please RSVP on this website to indicate that you will be attending.
Tickets to the museum are $20 which you can pay when you arrive to the museum. The ticket provides access to all of the Museum's main galleries for the entire day.
