Michael A. Scott ’70, M.M.S. ’74, the federal security director with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security at JFK International Airport in Jamaica, N.Y., was recently awarded Federal Security Director of the Year. His award was given as a federal security director of our country’s Category X airports. Category X (Cat X) airports are the 26 highest volume, critical airports in the United States. Mr. Scott received the award on Nov. 19, 2010, at the Transportation Security Administration National Awards Ceremony in Pentagon City, Va., from TSA Administrator John Pistole, Deputy Administrator Gail Rossides and Assistant Administrator Office of Security Operations Lee Kair. Mr. Scott is a former Stevens Alumni Association president and, previously, had a long career with the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.
