Student Name: Christina Berke

Cohort: Fall 2018

Hometown: Northport, NY

Major: Engineering Physics

Growing up, I was always fascinated by science and the role it played in the world. In my first physics class, my teacher was passionate and excited about the subject, making her class an enjoyable place to be and reinforcing my love for physics. Since attending Stevens, I have tried out a few student organizations including Amnesty International, Alpha Phi Omega and Engineers Without Boarders. I am interesting in international service learning opportunities through the Clark Scholars summer stipend because I believe it will help me better myself, so I can then better the lives of others. In my career, I plan on using my talents and abilities to make the world a better place for everyone. I am passionately concerned about the environment, and hopefully my future job will allow me to combat environmental issues and fix the outstanding problems we face today.
