Each day, thousands of students, faculty and staff travel to the Stevens campus in Hoboken. With this many people traveling to and from campus, it is environmentally irresponsible for each person to drive a car.  In order to reduce emissions, Stevens students can take simple steps to reduce their carbon footprint.

Students on campus have several options to get around to class and the city including: walking, bike share program (Hudson Bike Share), the campus shuttle, car sharing, the PATH train, or the Hudson River Ferry. Walking is encouraged if your commute is one mile or less, while biking is encouraged when your commute is about 3 miles. If either of these options don’t suit your taste, try carpooling or using public transportation! In the future, we hope to introduce hybrid and/or electric cars to the Stevens fleet and bring electric vehicle charging stations to campus.
