Subject: Flu Vaccinations Required by November 15, 2020

As referenced in Stevens’ Return to Campus Plan, the flu vaccination is required by November 15, 2020 of all students, faculty and staff who are on-campus for fall 2020. This includes students and faculty who are attending in-person classes, students living in residence halls, student employees working on the campus, and faculty and staff who are coming to campus.

Students, faculty and staff who are not currently on campus for fall 2020 are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated against the flu as per current public health recommendations.

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) urges everyone to vaccinate against the flu during the COVID-19 pandemic. Vaccination is especially critical right now as flu viruses and the virus that causes COVID-19 will both spread this fall and winter. Healthcare systems could be overwhelmed treating both patients with flu and patients with COVID-19. Visit the CDC website for more information about flu vaccines.
