During his 30-year career in higher education, he has held leadership, administrative and academic positions at major research universities, made seminal contributions in many areas of mechanical and aerospace engineering and won numerous honors for teaching and research.

Dr. David Dodd is Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at Stevens. Dr. Dodd joined Stevens in 2012 as the institution’s first VPIT and CIO. In this capacity he leads an organization with comprehensive responsibility for academic, administrative, and research computing. He has over 30 years of experience in business, research and development, and higher education.

Robert Maffia, Vice President for Facilities and Campus Operations, has more than 35 years of leadership experience in facilities management, design, construction and property management for higher education and corporate organizations, both domestic and global.
Louis J. Mayer, Ed.D.
Chief Financial Officer, Vice President for Finance and Treasurer
Chief Financial Officer, Vice President for Finance and Treasurer, Louis J. Mayer, Ed.D., directs and manages the university’s financial operations and leads the financial planning, budgeting and reporting process. Dr. Mayer has over 25 years of financial management experience in three consecutive assignments as Chief Financial Officer of major higher education and foundation organizations in the Philadelphia Region. Prior to his appointment at Stevens Institute of Technology, he served as the Vice President for Financial Affairs & Treasurer at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.

Beth McGrath, Vice President for Government and Community Relations / Chief of Staff, is a Stevens veteran with more than 30 years of leadership experience within the administration and academic enterprises. Beth serves as the liaison with local, state, and federal government as well as with individuals and community organizations to advance Stevens' interests across a broad range of issues. Beth also manages projects and programs for the Office of the President and works with the President on all internal and external initiatives.

Susan Metz, Executive Director of Diversity & Inclusion and Senior Research Associate, led the Lore-El Center for Women in Engineering and Science and was a co-founder of the nationally-recognized Women in Engineering Proactive Network (WEPAN). Through board participation, publications and grant administration, she has helped to advance the national STEM diversity policy agenda.
Vice President for Enrollment Management & Student Affairs
Marybeth Murphy was appointed Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs in April 2013 and has more than 30 years of experience in University enrollment management and research and planning. She is responsible for developing and managing strategic recruitment, undergraduate student support services, emergency response planning, auxiliary services, and athletic, cultural and recreational activities.

Mr. Petty has over 20 years of experience in human resources management and has held senior leadership positions within higher education and non-profit organizations.
