In May 2020, Stevens achieved a STARS Gold rating in recognition of its sustainability achievements from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), showcasing Stevens’ strong dedication to sustainability in both the classroom and campus operations.
On Febrary 21, 2020, three celebrations kicked off a year of events that will honor Stevens’ sesquicentennial: the Founder’s Day Ball for undergraduates, the Founder’s Day Reception for graduate students and the Founder’s Day Soiree for alumni, faculty and staff. The New Jersey Tech Council recognized the Stevens ACES (Accessing Careers in Engineering and Science) program, created by Stevens Institute of Technology President Nariman Farvardin, with its 2019 Innovation in Education Award.
