COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement
All students and full-time and part-time employees, including but not limited to faculty, full-time staff, adjuncts, and part-time staff whose program of study or work assignment requires them to be on campus for the Fall 2021 semester must be vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine that has been authorized or granted emergency use authorization (EUA) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Students who are registered for programs that are fully online and will not come to campus are not covered by the vaccination requirement. Limited exemptions from the COVID-19 vaccine requirement will be considered for medical and religious reasons. See the FAQs for more information on this requirement.
Stevens will accept COVID-19 vaccines approved by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (“FDA”) or World Health Organization (“WHO”). As of July 12, 2021, the approved vaccines include those manufactured by Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, Janssen/J&J, AstraZeneca/Oxford/Covishield, Sinopharm (Beijing), and Sinovac-CoronaVac (Beijing). Please continue to monitor these lists regularly as vaccination approvals may change.
Stevens has arranged for Bergen New Bridge Medical Center to offer vaccines at the Student Center for the Stevens community through mid-September. Individuals interested in receiving a vaccine are encouraged to register in advance, but all walk-ins will be accepted. Please visit the On-Campus COVID-19 Vaccination website for specific information including registration instructions and details regarding how to prepare for your vaccination appointment.
Limited exemptions will be considered for medical and religious reasons. Students who are registered for programs that are fully online and are not required to come to campus are exempt from the vaccination requirement. Information regarding exemptions is available on the Student Health Services website.
