COVAXIN Vaccine Now Approved
The World Health Organization recently approved COVAXIN for emergency use. As such, individuals who have received the COVAXIN vaccine overseas will no longer be required to participate in weekly COVID-19 testing once they have uploaded proof of vaccine to Stevens. If you previously shared this information and were denied, you must re-upload the proof of vaccination to be removed from the weekly testing list. Please continue to test until you have completed this step and have been approved.

Weekly COVID-19 Testing Before Thanksgiving Break
On-campus COVID-19 testing for Thanksgiving week will be available on Monday, November 22nd instead of Wednesday, November 24th. There is no on-campus testing on Wednesday, November 24th. Those individuals who are exempt from the vaccination requirement must test on-campus on Monday, November 22nd between 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. in the Corcoran Room. If you are required to test weekly and you are unable to be on campus on November 22nd for testing, please make arrangements to be tested at another location that week and submit your results online before returning to campus.

Thanksgiving Travel
While Stevens has not imposed any travel restrictions, we ask that all members of the campus community take appropriate precautions when traveling for the holidays. If you are leaving the local area, please pay special attention to any and all State Department, CDC and local guidelines both at your destination and for your return to New Jersey. If you are exposed to COVID-19 during your travel, please follow the protocols outlined on Stevens’ COVID-19 website.

On-Campus COVID-19 Testing Information
Weekly COVID-19 testing takes place on Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the Corcoran Room on the first floor of Gateway North. Any student, faculty or staff coming to campus who is exempt from the vaccine requirement or who is not yet fully vaccinated must participate in weekly COVID-19 testing. On-campus students, faculty and staff will be randomly selected to participate in weekly testing throughout the fall semester. Read more and register for a weekly test.

New Form for Submitting Self-Reported COVID-19 Tests
Stevens students and employees who are getting COVID-19 tests off campus and submitting their results to Stevens must use a new form, which can be found at

COVID-19 Vaccine Boosters
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have updated their guidance for COVID-19 boosters and eligibility. Those who received a Pfizer or Moderna vaccine and who are 65 or older, adults with underlying medical conditions, and adults at increased risk of COVID-19 exposure because of their job (including educators and administrators at educational institutions) are now eligible for a booster vaccine and should get one, if it has been at least six months since your second shot. Those who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine two or more months ago are eligible and should also receive a booster vaccine. Eligible vaccinated individuals are permitted to choose which of the three approved vaccines they receive as a booster dose. Stevens students, staff and faculty who meet these criteria should get their booster vaccines as soon as possible in order to comply with Stevens’ vaccine requirement. Vaccine appointments can be made at any existing vaccination location without a prescription. 

Forthcoming Process for Booster Submission
Students, faculty and staff will receive information in the coming weeks regarding uploading documentation of the COVID-19 booster vaccine. In the meantime, please get a booster vaccine as soon as you are eligible and retain the documentation of the vaccine.

Outside Rentals of Stevens Facilities
Beginning in the summer of 2022, Stevens will once again permit certain outside groups to rent and use campus facilities. Those offices looking to rent facilities to outside groups must receive approval from their Divisional Vice President and, then, work with the Office of General Counsel to create or update appropriate agreements which include COVID compliance provisions and other relevant terms. 

Reporting COVID-19 Symptoms, Exposure or Positive Test Results
If any student, faculty or staff member experiences COVID-19 symptoms, tests positive for COVID-19, or has close contact with an individual who tests positive for COVID-19, please isolate and immediately contact Stevens Student Health Services at 201-216-5678 or [email protected].
