Please review the updates below and visit the Stevens COVID-19 website for more information about Stevens’ operations and guidance during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Guidance for Faculty and Staff
All faculty and staff may ask any member of the Stevens community to leave a classroom or public space if they are not masked. Should our masking requirement change, this will change as well. All faculty and staff may also ask any member of the Stevens community to wear a mask properly (i.e., covered nose and mouth) as appropriate. Should offices need disposable masks, please submit a work order to Facilities and Campus Operations. Faculty and teaching staff are encouraged to read the COVID FAQs for On-Campus Instruction, which provides guidance regarding student absences and illness in addition to the masking policy.

Campus Visitors
As a reminder, short-term visitors are not required to demonstrate proof of vaccination or COVID-19 testing before coming to campus and are no longer required to register. Consultants and vendors who occasionally come to campus are not required to be vaccinated but must follow all COVID-19 guidelines when on campus. Consultants or others who come to campus regularly and interact with students and employees will be required to be vaccinated or have an exemption. All visitors must abide by Stevens’ protocols, including wearing masks indoors and staying home if they are sick.

Reporting COVID-19 Symptoms, Exposure or Positive Test Results
If any student, faculty or staff member experiences COVID-19 symptoms, tests positive for COVID-19, or has close contact with an individual who tests positive for COVID-19, please isolate and immediately contact Stevens Student Health Services at 201-216-5678 or [email protected].

Stevens COVID-19 Cases
Since the last email on September 7, seven students and one staff member have tested positive for COVID-19. The individuals who have tested positive are isolating and their close contacts have been notified.

Weekly COVID Testing: A Requirement for Vaccine Exemptions and Partially Vaccinated Individuals
Weekly COVID-19 testing takes place on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the Corcoran Room on the first floor of Gateway North. Any student, faculty or staff coming to campus who is exempt from the vaccine requirement or who is not yet fully vaccinated must participate in weekly COVID-19 testing. Vaccinated individuals do not participate in the weekly on-campus testing. Read more and register for a weekly test.

Thank you for your cooperation in complying with these important requirements.
