Stevens Health Honor Code
All students, faculty, staff, vendors, contractors and visitors are responsible for abiding by the Stevens Health Honor Code. This includes wearing a mask in all indoor, public campus spaces regardless of vaccination status and unless eating or drinking. Those who are exempt from the vaccination requirement must test weekly, effective with your initial start or arrival date on campus. Please carefully review the full details of the Health Honor Code.
Update on Stevens COVID-19 Cases
Since the last email on August 17, four students and one staff member have tested positive for COVID-19. Three of these individuals work or study on campus, and two have not been to campus recently. The individuals who have tested positive are isolating and their close contacts have been notified. We have received 23 test results from on-campus testing conducted from August 9-13 through Bergen New Bridge Medical Center and none were positive.
Weekly COVID Testing: A Requirement for Vaccine Exemptions and Partially Vaccinated Individuals
Weekly COVID-19 testing takes place on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the Corcoran Room on the first floor of Gateway North. Any student, faculty or staff coming to campus who are exempt from the vaccine requirement or who are not yet fully vaccinated must participate in weekly COVID-19 testing. Vaccinated individuals do not participate in the weekly on-campus testing. Read more and register for a weekly test.
Pre-Arrival Test Required for Exempt, Unvaccinated and Partially Vaccinated Individuals Before Returning to Campus for Fall 2021
Students, faculty and staff with an approved exemption from the vaccination requirement or who are partially vaccinated are required to submit a negative COVID-19 viral/diagnostic test result online before returning to campus. This test must be taken within 5 days before returning to campus. COVID-19 antibody tests will not be accepted. Visit the COVID-19 Testing website for more information.
On-Campus COVID-19 Vaccines
Stevens has arranged for Bergen New Bridge Medical Center to offer vaccines at the Student Center for the Stevens community through mid-September. Individuals interested in receiving a vaccine are encouraged to register in advance, but all walk-ins will be accepted. Please visit the On-Campus COVID Vaccination website for specific information including registration instructions and details regarding how to prepare for your vaccination appointment.
Reporting COVID-19 Symptoms and Positive COVID-19 Results
If any student, faculty or staff member experiences COVID-19 symptoms, tests positive for COVID-19, or has close contact with an individual who tests positive for COVID-19, please isolate and immediately contact Stevens Student Health Services at 201-216-5678 or [email protected].
