Updated Face Mask Protocols
Effective immediately and at the recommendation of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Governor of New Jersey, all faculty, staff, students and visitors are strongly encouraged to wear masks in all indoor, public campus spaces regardless of vaccination status. Exempt and partially vaccinated individuals are required to wear masks in public settings. All individuals may remove their mask in private spaces such as a personal office, residence hall room or an individual restroom. We will continue to closely monitor local COVID-19 transmission rates for masking guidance as reported by the Hoboken Health Department and will provide additional guidance as it becomes available. Please note that a masking requirement may be imposed for certain events and occasions in the coming academic year; advance notice of such a requirement will be provided to participants.
Masks and social distancing requirements will remain in effect for on-campus classes through the summer 2021 terms, regardless of vaccination status.
Vaccine Requirement: Action Needed
Employees: The August 1 deadline has passed. If you have not submitted evidence of COVID-19 vaccination or received an exemption, contact Human Resources at [email protected] immediately.
Students: The deadline to submit evidence of COVID-19 vaccine through Workday is Monday, August 16. Students who do not submit their vaccination documentation or receive an authorized exemption by August 16 will be unenrolled from fall courses and their Stevens DuckCard will be deactivated; residential students will not be permitted to live in Stevens housing.
Students who are currently in progress towards vaccination but will not be fully vaccinated by August 16, as well as students who are located internationally and having difficulty getting vaccinated, must complete this form as soon as possible, but no later than August 16, 2021, to inform Stevens of their plans regarding vaccination.

Update on Stevens COVID-19 Cases
Since the last email on July 27, no students, faculty or staff members have tested positive for COVID-19. We have received 15 test results from on-campus testing conducted from July 26 - 30 through Bergen New Bridge Medical Center and none were positive.
Weekly COVID Testing Location Change and Requirement for Vaccine Exemptions
Weekly COVID-19 testing during the summer months takes place on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the Corcoran Room on the first floor of Gateway North. Any student, faculty, or staff coming to campus regularly who are not yet fully vaccinated or who have not provided evidence of vaccination to Stevens must continue to participate in weekly COVID-19 testing. Those with vaccine exemptions must test weekly. Vaccinated individuals do not participate in the weekly on-campus testing. Read more and register for a weekly test.
Pre-Arrival Test Required for Exempt Individuals before Returning to Campus for Fall 2021
Students, faculty and staff with an approved exemption from the vaccination requirement are required to submit a negative COVID-19 viral/diagnostic test result online before returning to campus. This test must be taken within 5 days before returning to campus. COVID-19 antibody tests will not be accepted. Visit the COVID-19 Testing website for more information.
On-Campus COVID-19 Vaccines
Stevens’ On-Campus COVID Vaccination program, in partnership with Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, offers vaccines at the Student Center for the Stevens community through mid-September. Individuals interested in receiving a vaccine are encouraged to register in advance, but all walk-ins will be accepted.

Reporting COVID-19 Symptoms and Positive COVID-19 Results
If any student, faculty, or staff member experiences COVID-19 symptoms, tests positive for COVID-19, or has close contact with an individual who tests positive for COVID-19, please isolate and immediately contact Stevens Student Health Services at 201-216-5678 or [email protected].
