Writing Intensive Humanities Classes

The Humanities Division has long mandated that students in freshman classes write six 2-3 page papers per semester as well as doing an oral presentation. WCI endorses and reaffirms this successful strategy as part of the Institute-wide initiatives to better the communications skills of undergraduates. Among the 100-level courses offered to incoming and sophomore students are those listed below (Undergraduate Writing Courses), which offer special attention to students who might need it. Only the freshman sections of these 100-level courses mandate six papers.
